Lacrosse equipment

While the GVLL does not encourage overly aggressive play, lacrosse is a contact sport and accordingly, we require each player play with a complete set of protective lacrosse equipment at all times. The equipment below is required for both the preseason clinics and spring and summer leagues. The lacrosse equipment on the GVLL required equipment list is designed to optimize both freedom of movement and safety, and is standard nationwide.

New lacrosse equipment may be found at Play it Again Sports, Summit Bike and Ski in Bozeman or obtained from any of several equipment manufacturers such as Brine, STX, Warrior and others.

Used equipment may be purchased at Play It Again Sports or on Ebay. The Optimist Club is sponsoring sports equipment scholarships to help pay for youth sports equipment. Applications may be picked up at Play It Again Sports or at Registration Night on February 29th. Note: Girls must purchase girl's sticks. They are different from boys sticks.
